Judicial protection of Democracy
As the Delhi High Court states the Indian Democracy might be threatened. To protect democracy, particularly, from the investigating agencies misusing laws like the UAPA the judiciary will have to do more. The Courts must direct the government to punish officials who for whatever reasons files or assist in filing cases which are found to be false prima facie in examination of evidence provided in the charge-sheet. Nothing less than that will redeem peoples' faith in the system of justice.
